Locking a volume means that it becomes unmounted and is unusable (you cannot create or use shares stored on the locked volume). This provides an extra layer of security against the theft of data. Locking an Encrypted Volume
You can manually lock an encrypted volume at any time. Locking a volume means
that it becomes unmounted and is unusable (you cannot create or use shares
stored on the locked volume). This provides an extra layer of security against the
theft of data.
To lock a volume:
