Removing the CD 1. Confirm that the computer is turned on. 2. Press the Eject Button on the drive's panel, and the CD tray will slide out partially. Then, gently pull the tray out until fully extended. 3. Hold the CD by its edge with your fingers, and then lift it up from the tray. 4. Push the tray back into the drive. Releasing the CD Manually If you cannot release the CD tray by pressing the Eject Button, you can release it manually: 1. Confirm that the computer is turned off. 2. Insert a pointed object (e.g. a straightened clip) into the Emergency Eject Hole (Œ), and the CD tray will slide out partially. Then, gently pull the tray out until fully extended (•). 3. Remove the CD, and then push the tray back into the drive. 2 - 15

If you cannot release the CD tray by pressing the Eject Button, you can re-
lease it manually:
1.
Confirm that the computer is turned off.
2.
Insert a pointed object (e.g. a straightened clip) into the
Emergency
Eject Hole

pull the tray out until fully extended (

Remove the CD, and then push the tray back into the drive.
