Shooting a distant subject using the SB-30 in conjunction with cameras such as the COOLPIX that have a built-in Speedlight By placing the camera and SB-30 side-by-side to fire the SB-30 in sync with the built-in Speedlight, you can illuminate a distant subject, creating pictures not possible when using the built-in Speedlight alone. Set the SB-30's Mode selector dial to the Wireless slave flash (A) mode to perform auto flash. • The COOLPIX 900, COOLPIX 700 series, COOLPIX 800 series and COOLPIX 2500 cameras that fire one preliminary flash are usable. • With the Pronea S that has no accessory shoe or the F55/N55, which has a hot shoe but no TTL auto flash function, the SB-30 can still perform TTL auto flash. • When attaching the SB-30 to cameras such as COOLPIX 700 series, COOLPIX 800 series, using the optional Bracket Set SK-9, refer to the SK-9 instruction manual.
