Read Messages (Menu 7 1) The phone automatically stores the last 20 short text messages you have received in the Read Messages list. (You can receive text messages if the network supports this service, and if you subscribe to this service - refer to your service provider for more information). This menu lets you scroll through and read the stored messages. Stored messages remain in the phone's memory when the phone is switched off. The same message isn't stored twice in the list. If you want to erase a message, use Menu 7 2. 1 Press MENU, then" until you see MESSAGES. Press OK. 2 Press" to scroll to READ MESSAGES. Press OK. The display will show MESSAGE(S) RECEIVED if there are new ones, or it will show the first (read) message in the list if there are no new ones. 3 Use or to scroll to the message you want to read; e.g., NEW: CALL HOME. NEW denotes an unread message, whereas OLD would denote a previously read message. Each message has a number which shows in the top right corner of the display. The newest message is 1. After you have read the last message, the phone displays ***END***. Erase Messages (Menu 7 2) This menu lets you erase any of the stored messages.
