To modify general task settings 1 Click the Task Scheduler on the application bar. In the menu, select Tools> Settings. The Task Scheduler settings dialog box opens. 2 Select the Enable Scheduled tasks check box to make scheduled tasks run automatically. 3 Tasks that have been set to run on connection are executed immediately when you connect your Nokia 9290 Communicator to your PC. To add a delay and a chance to cancel the task before it starts, select the Delay running scheduled tasks check box and enter numbers or click the arrows to specify the delay seconds. 4 Select the Show progress dialogs check box to view individual progress dialogs. If this check box is cleared, all progress dialogs are minimized on the taskbar. 26 Tip: This delay is useful when you have set an automatic backup option and there is a risk that a new backup data will overwrite data that you want to restore.
