3 Lift out the used image drum cartridge with toner cartridge installed. Dispose of properly with the black plastic bag included with the new image drum kit. To reset the drum counter without the Status Monitor 1 Power off the printer. 2 Open the top cover. 3 Press and hold the oval switch on the operator panel. 4 While continuing to hold down the switch, power on the printer. 5 The lights on the front panel will flash twice, release the button and close the cover. 4 Remove the new image drum cartridge from the package. To install the new image drum cartridge, follow the installation instructions included in the replacement kit. Reset the Drum Counter in the Status Monitor 5 Be sure to reset the drum counter located on the Maintenance 1 tab in the printer menu.
