If you wish to use these functions, set [Rec Scene] to [Off]. To check the settings: On the [Scene Select] display, select a recording scene using the + and - buttons, and press the 9 button. Press the 0 button to return to the [Scene Select] display. - Play Menu Noise Cancel For WS-710M/WS-700M: If recorded audio is difficult to understand because of noisy surroundings, adjust the Noise Cancel setting level. [High] [Low]: Enables the Noise Cancel function. Noise will be reduced in the file when it's played back for better sound quality. [Off]: Disables this function. • When [Noise Cancel] is set to [Low] or [High], slow/high speed playback and 5 [Voice Filter] will not function. To use these functions, set [Noise Cancel] to [Off] (☞ P.36, P.54). • [Noise Cancel] only works in [Recorder] mode. EUPHONY Menu setting method For WS-710M/WS-700M: This recorder is equipped with "EUPHONY MOBILE", the latest in surround sound systems which combines bandwidth correction, expansion technology, and virtual acoustical source processing technology. In addition to its natural, expansive feel, the recorder is equipped with the exceptional feature wherein listeners are less prone to developing an compressed or closed-in feel, or to growing tired over extended listening. On top of this, listeners are less prone to developing an oppressed or closed-in feel, or to growing tired over extended listening. Level adjustments of the EUPHONY setting can be set to four stages EN according to preference. 53
