Troubleshooting (Advanced) 92 Sound No sound. Distorted sound. Cannot change the volume by pressing Fn+F5 or Fn+F6. "There was an error updating the registry" appears when Sound Recorder is started. Click [start] - [All Programs] - [Accessories] - [System Tools] - [Character Map]. Set [LAN], or [LAN] and [Modem] to [Enabled] in the [Advanced] menu of the Setup Utility ( page 73). Follow the steps below. A Click [start] - [All Programs] - [Accessories] - [Command Prompt]. B Input "ipconfig/all", and press Enter. C Write down the 12-digit string of alphanumeric displayed in the "Physical Address" line of the LAN or the wireless LAN (only for model with wireless LAN). D Input [exit], and press Enter.
