Application (Record) Using Zoom [Step Zoom] You can set the zoom operation to allow easy visualization of the angle of view (picture angle) for the focal length of a regular fixed focal length lens (as with a 35 mm film camera). When using the Step Zoom, you can operate the zoom ratio as easily as changing the camera lens. ••If recording in [Intelligent Auto] Mode, you can adjust the [Step Zoom] with the control ring/control dial. If the setting assigned to the control ring/control dial is [Step Zoom], [Step Zoom] will also be available for use in other modes. (→134) Turn the control ring or control dial (In [Program AE] mode, the control ring is assigned to [Step Zoom].)
