Basic Taking Pictures with Your Favorite Settings (Program AE Mode) Recording mode: The camera automatically sets the shutter speed and the aperture value according to the brightness of the subject. You can take pictures with greater freedom by changing various settings in [Rec] menu. 1 Set the mode dial to [ ]. 2 Aim the AF area at the point you want to focus on. 3 Press the shutter button halfway to focus. A Aperture value B Shutter speed C ISO sensitivity • The focus indication D (green) lights when the subject is focused. • The maximum close-up distance (the shortest distance at which the subject can be taken) differs depending on the zoom magnification. Please check with the focus range display on the screen. (P34) • Aperture value and shutter speed are displayed in red when correct exposure is not achieved.
