Recording Taking Pictures with the Zoom Applicable modes: Using the Optical Zoom/Using the Extended Optical Zoom (EZ)/Using the Intelligent Zoom/Using the Digital Zoom You can zoom in to make people and objects appear closer or zoom out to record landscapes in wide angle. Extended Optical Zoom works except when the maximum recordable pixels are set. This function allows you to take a picture with additional enlargement without deteriorating the image quality. To make subjects appear further away use (Wide) Rotate the zoom lever towards Wide. W T To make subjects appear closer use (Tele) Rotate the zoom lever towards Tele. W T ∫ Changing the zoom speed The zoom speed becomes slower when the rotation A B angle is small and the zoom speed becomes faster when the rotation angle is large.
