Basic Playing Back Motion Pictures This unit was designed to play motion pictures using the AVCHD, MP4 and QuickTime Motion JPEG formats. Press 2/1 to select a picture with a motion picture icon A (such as [ ]/[ ]), and then press 3 to play back. A Motion picture icon 3s B The motion picture recording time • After playback starts, the elapsed playback time is displayed on the screen. For example, 8 minutes and 30 seconds is displayed as [8m30s]. • Some information (recording information, etc.) is not displayed for motion B pictures recorded in [AVCHD]. (DMC-FZ200) • When playing back high speed motion pictures, select pictures with the high speed motion picture icon [ ]. ∫ Operations performed during Motion Picture Playback The cursor displayed during playback is the same as 3/4/2/1. 3 Play/Pause 4 Stop 2 Fast rewind¢ Frame-by-frame rewind (while pausing) 1 Fast forward¢ Frame-by-frame forward (while pausing) [W] Reduce volume level [T] Increase volume level W T ¢ The fast forward/rewind speed increases if you press 1/2 again. Note • When using a high capacity card, it is possible that fast rewinding may be slower than usual. • To play back the motion pictures recorded by this unit on a PC, use the "PHOTOfunSTUDIO" software on the CD-ROM (supplied). • Motion pictures recorded with other camera may not be able to play back on this unit. • Motion pictures recorded with [Miniature Effect] in Creative Control Mode play back at approximately 10 times speed. (DMC-FZ200) • When playing back high speed motion pictures, the motion picture recording time differs to the actual playback time. - 47 -
