Operating this unit Section 02 English Changing the ring tone The unit offers a choice of ring tones for incoming calls, as well as an Off setting. ! The ring tone you select for this unit has no effect on the ring tone used by your phone. If you do not want your phone and this unit to ring at the same time, we recommend you turn the ring tone of one or the other off. 1 Use MULTI-CONTROL to select Ring tone in the function menu. 2 Push MULTI-CONTROL left or right to select a ring tone. Each time MULTI-CONTROL is pushed left or right, the ring tone is selected in the following order: OFF (ring tone off)-BEEP1 (ring tone 1)- BEEP2 (ring tone 2)-BEEP3 (ring tone 3) Echo canceling and noise reduction When you are operating hands-free phoning in the vehicle, you may hear undesired echo. This function reduces the echo and noise and keeps a certain sound quality. ! This feature cannot be set for each different user phone. 1 Use MULTI-CONTROL to select Echo cancel in the function menu. 2 Press MULTI-CONTROL to turn echo canceling on. # To turn echo canceling off, press MULTI-CONTROL again. Displaying BD address of this unit 1 Use MULTI-CONTROL to select Device info. in the function menu. The device name (e.g., Pioneer BT unit) of this unit appears in the display. 2 Push MULTI-CONTROL left to switch to the BD address. 12-digit hexadecimal string is displayed. # Pushing MULTI-CONTROL right returns to the device name. Selecting the incoming call screen It is possible to select an incoming call screen. Since the screen selection is available for each user, it is possible to select different screens between the users. 1 Press MULTI-CONTROL to display the main menu. FUNCTION, AUDIO, ENTERTAINMENT and RECEIVING MOVIE appear on the display. 2 Use MULTI-CONTROL to select RECEIVING MOVIE. Turn to change the menu option; press to select. 3 Use MULTI-CONTROL to select the screen. Turn to change the menu option; press to select. Screen 1-Sceen 2-Screen 3-Screen 4 Displaying BD (Bluetooth Device) address Each device featuring Bluetooth wireless technology is allocated a unique 48-bit device address.
