5 Playing a DVD with Surround Sound Quick Start Guide 2 1 Turn on the receiver, your TV, and the DVD Î S0URCE USE SETUP RECEIVER player. If you don't hook up any other components with digital audio or do so following the default settings of the receiver (see page 14) you won't have to assign any more digital inputs, but many other adjustments will improve the sound tremendously. 2 Experiment with the different sound settings offered with the 2/DTS and DSP buttons. For more information see pages 41-45. 3 As mentioned above you should go through the "speaker setup" instructions on pages 28-40 to set up your speakers properly. If you don't do this you, at least, need to make sure the CENTER channel is turned off if you don't have a center speaker. Use the instructions on pages 29-33.
