CONSOLE DIAGRAM FEATURES OF THE CONSOLE The treadmill console offers an impressive array of features designed to make your workouts more effective and enjoyable. You can change the speed and incline of the treadmill with the touch of a button. As you exercise, the screen will display continuous exercise feedback. You can even measure your heart rate using the handgrip pulse sensor or the optional chest pulse sensor (see page 28). In addition, the console features fourteen preset programs. Each program automatically controls the speed and incline of the treadmill as it guides you through an effective workout. The console also offers four pulse programs that control the speed and incline of the treadmill to help you keep your heart rate near target heart rate settings. You can even create your own custom programs and save them for future use. The console also features the iFit interactive workout system. The iFit system accepts iFit cards with programs that help you achieve specific fitness goals. For example, lose unwanted pounds with the 8-week Weight Loss program. iFit programs automatically control the treadmill. iFit cards are available separately. IMPORTANT: If there is a sheet of plastic on the face of the console, remove the plastic. To prevent damage to the walking platform, wear clean athletic shoes while using the treadmill. The first time the treadmill is used, observe the alignment of the walking belt, and center the walking belt if necessary (see page 31). Note: The console can display speed and distance in either miles or kilometers. To find which unit of measurement is selected, see THE INFORMATION MODE on page 27.
