Confidential Transmission Confidential Transmission If you want to limit who views your document, use this function. The document is stored in memory at the other end and not printed until an ID is entered. 2 GFSINS0N There are two types of Confidential Transmission: ❖ Default ID It is not necessary to enter an ID when transmitting. The other party can print the document by entering the Confidential ID programmed in their machine. ❖ ID Override Should you want to send a confidential document to a particular person at the other end, you can specify the Confidential ID that the receiver has to enter to see that document. Before you send the document, do not forget to tell the receiver the ID that must be entered to print the document. Important ❒ The destination machine must be of the same manufacturer and have the Confidential Reception function. ❒ The destination machine must have enough memory available. ❒ This function is not available with Internet Fax.
