Loading Envelopes Loading Envelopes • The inside of the machine could be very hot. Do not touch the parts with a label indicating the "hot surface". Otherwise, an injury might occur. • Some of this machine's internal components get very hot. For this reason, take care when removing misfed paper. Not doing so could result in burns. • Check there is no air in the envelopes before loading. • Load only one size and type of envelope at a time. • Before loading envelopes, flatten their leading edges (the edge going into the printer) by running a pencil or ruler across them. • Some kinds of envelope might cause misfeeds, wrinkles or print poorly. 6 • Print quality on envelopes may be uneven if parts of an envelope have differing thicknesses.
