Remove the Battery Before removing the battery, turn the phone off, if necessary. To turn the phone off, press and hold the key. ᮣ Lift the bottom end of the battery up and away from the phone (1) and slide the battery up and out of the phone (2). Charging the Battery Your phone is powered by a rechargeable standard Li-Ion battery. Only use Samsung-approved charging devices and batteries. Samsung accessories are designed to maximize battery life. Use of other accessories may invalidate your warranty and may cause damage. Low battery indicator The battery indicator in the upper-right corner of the display indicates power level. Monitor the battery strength and ensure your battery is adequately charged. If you continue to use your phone without charging its battery, the phone will shut down. Getting Started 9
