Polling (Requesting a Fax Transmission) Polling (Requesting a Fax Transmission) Polling allows you to call another fax machine and have it send a document (previously loaded in the machine's feeder or stored in memory) to your machine without assistance from the operator of the other machine. Hint: Polling is useful when you want the receiving fax machine, not the transmitting fax machine, to bear the cost of the call. i To use the polling function, the other machine must be capable of being polled. i Before polling, make sure the other machine is set up to receive your polling request. 1 Make sure that the date and time display of fax mode appears (if needed press FAX ) and then press MENU . Display: FAX SETTING 2 Press . 1:RECEPTION MODE 3 Press . Polling allows you to call another fax machine and have it send a document
(previously loaded in the machine’s feeder or stored in memory) to your
machine without assistance from the operator of the other machine.
Hint:
Polling is useful when you want the receiving fax machine, not the
transmitting fax machine, to bear the cost of the call.
To use the polling function, the other machine must be capable of being
polled.
