Playing back a tape When monitoring on the LCD screen You can turn the LCD panel over and move it back to the camcorder body with the LCD screen facing out. If you leave the power on for a long time Your camcorder gets warm. This is not a malfunction. When you open/close the LCD panel Open/close the LCD panel vertically. When monitoring in the viewfinder Turn the LCD panel over and move it back to the camcorder body with the LCD screen facing out, and pull out the viewfinder until it clicks. In this case, the picture is not displayed on the LCD screen. To control the display of the screen indicators Press DISPLAY/TOUCH PANEL on your camcorder or DISPLAY on the Remote Commander supplied with your camcorder. The indicators disappear on the LCD screen. To make the indicators appear, press DISPLAY/TOUCH PANEL again. Using the data code function Your camcorder automatically records not only images on the tape but also the recording data (date/time or various settings when recorded) (Data code). Follow the steps below to display the data code using the touch panel or the Remote Commander. Using the touch panel (1) In the playback mode, press FN and select PAGE3. (2) Press DATA CODE. DATACODE OFF OK CAM DATE DATA DATA (3) Select CAM DATA or DATE DATA, then press OK. (4) Press EXIT. 28

You can turn the LCD panel over and move it back to the camcorder body with the LCD
screen facing out.

When monitoring in the viewfinder
Turn the LCD panel over and move it back to the camcorder body with the LCD screen
facing out, and pull out the viewfinder until it clicks. In this case, the picture is not
displayed on the LCD screen.
To control the display of the screen indicators
Press DISPLAY/TOUCH PANEL on your camcorder or DISPLAY on the Remote
Commander supplied with your camcorder.
The indicators disappear on the LCD screen.
To make the indicators appear, press DISPLAY/TOUCH PANEL again.
Using the data code function
