Operating optional components The supplied remote is set to operate Sony DVDs and most Sony VCRs. To control the VCRs and DVDs of other brands and certain Sony VCR models, set up the remote as follows. / 123 456 789 0 Number buttons Yellow button Setting up the remote to work with OK the connected equipment (1) Press Media Selector repeatedly until the VCR or DVD green light lights. MENU REC TV VCR DVD Media Selector Note • If Media Selector is in the TV position, code numbers will not be stored. (2) Before the green light goes out, press and hold the yellow button for approximately six seconds until the green light starts flashing. (3) While the green light is flashing, enter the three digits of the code for your brand (see the list below) using the number buttons. If you entered the code correctly, all three green lights will light momentarily. (4) Turn on your VCR or DVD and check that the main functions work. Notes • If your equipment is not working or some of the functions do not work, check you entered the code correctly, or try the next code listed for the brand. • Your brand codes may be lost if the batteries are weak. To reset your DVD or VCR code number, repeat the above steps. A small label is attached inside the battery compartment lid to allow you to record your brand codes. • Not all brands are covered and not all models of every brand may be covered. Using Your New TV
Operating optional
components
The supplied remote is set to operate Sony DVDs and
most Sony VCRs.
To control the VCRs and DVDs of
other brands and certain Sony VCR models, set up
the remote as follows.
Setting up the remote to work with
the connected equipment
(1)
Press Media Selector repeatedly until the VCR or
DVD green light lights.
Note
If Media Selector
is in the TV position, code numbers will not be stored.
(2)
Before the green light goes out, press and hold the yellow button for
approximately six seconds until the green light starts flashing.
(3)
While the green light is flashing, enter the three digits of the code for your brand
(see the list below) using the number buttons.
If you entered the code correctly, all three green lights will light momentarily.

Turn on your VCR or DVD and check that the main functions work.
