Adjusting the "SOUND" setting The "SOUND" menu allows you to adjust the sound setting. 1 Press MENU. MENU MENU PICTURE SOUND TIMER SET-UP OK EXIT : MENU 2 Press v or V to select "SOUND," then press OK. OK OK 3 Press v or V to select the desired item, and press B or b to adjust the value or OK OK select the desired option (see the table below). OK MENU REC TV VCR DVD OK v / V / B / b MENU SOUND TREBLE BASS RESET DUAL SOUND : MONO OK EXIT : MENU SOUND TREBLE BASS RESET DUAL SOUND : MONO EXIT : MENU For TREBLE Press B to Press b to decrease higher-pitched sound increase higher-pitched sound BASS DUAL SOUND decrease lower-pitched sound increase lower-pitched sound Press B or b to select "MONO" or "STEREO" for a stereo broadcast, or "MONO," "A" or "B" for a bilingual broadcast cyclically. MONO/STEREO: Select "STEREO" or "MONO" for a stereo broadcast. MONO/A/B: Select "A" for sound channel 1, "B" for sound channel 2 or "MONO" for monaural channel if available. Notes • If the signal is very weak, the sound becomes monaural automatically. • If the stereo sound is noisy when receiving a NICAM programme, select "MONO." The sound becomes monaural, but the noise is reduced. Select "RESET" and press OK to reset the sound to the factory preset settings. To return to the normal screen Press MENU.
