Using the Menu CAMERA SET Menu item AE SHIFT D. EXTENDER ZOOM SET STEADYSHOT Sub-items/Settings ON/OFF OFF, ON LEVEL -2.0EV to +2.0EV (0EV) OFF, ON ZOOM TYPE OPTICAL ZOOM ONLY, ON[CLEAR IMAGE ZOOM], ON[DIGITAL ZOOM] HANDLE ZOOM 1 to 8 (3) SPEED ZOOM OFF, ON STANDARD, ACTIVE, OFF Description Turns the AE shift function on/off. Adjusts the brightness. • This function is not active while you adjust the iris, shutter speed, ISO sensitivity/gain all manually. You can use 2× magnification when recording. • This function is not available for XAVC QFHD. Selects the type of zoom used when operating the zoom lever. OPTICAL ZOOM ONLY: Uses optical zoom only. ON[CLEAR IMAGE ZOOM]: Uses Clear Image Zoom in addition to optical zoom. • Clear Image Zoom maintains an image quality that is close to the original. ON[DIGITAL ZOOM]: Uses digital zoom in addition to optical zoom and clear image zoom. Image quality deteriorates within the range where is displayed. • The face detection function, focus area, and lock-on AF are disabled when using clear image zoom and digital zoom. Selects the zoom speed for the FIX position of the handle zoom speed switch. You can increase the zoom speed of the power zoom lever and the handle zoom. • When you set this function to [ON], the operation sound of the zoom may also be recorded in the movie. Sets the image stabilization to reduce camera shake when shooting. STANDARD ( ): Uses image stabilization function. ACTIVE ( ): Uses strong image stabilization effect. • When [ACTIVE] is selected, the angle of view shifts 1.08 times toward the telephoto side. OFF ( ): Does not use image stabilization function. • This setting is recommended when you use a tripod. Continued , 111
