USER INFO SET User name and password b Notes • It is recommended that [Secure Protocol] be set to [ON]. If set to [OFF], the user name, password, and movie file data may be disclosed to other parties if communication with the FTP server is intercepted or if connected to an unintended FTP server. • The previously entered password is not displayed for security reasons. Characters are displayed as asterisks during password entry. To switch between showing/hiding the password during keyboard entry, press the DISPLAY button. • From a security standpoint, it is recommended that you set a password with a sufficiently long character string that is hard to guess by others, and that you store it safely. Selecting an FTP server Select an FTP server to use for FTP transfer from the list of registered FTP servers. 1 Press the MENU button. 2 Select (NETWORK SET) t [FTP TRANSFER] t [FTP SERVER SELECT]. 3 Select the desired server. Using FTP transfer You can transfer files by FTP using the connected network. 1 Check that the network settings are configured (p. 78, 83). 2 Press the THUMBNAIL button. 3 Select the media, where the files you want to transfer are stored, and the file format on the thumbnail screen. 4 Press the MENU button. 5 Select (NETWORK SET) t [FTP TRANSFER] t [EXECUTE] t network connection method. • The network connection starts. The status of the network connection is displayed using the following icons. Icon Meaning Before wireless LAN connection and after disconnection Wireless LAN connection or (icon varies depending on frequency band of access point) Wired LAN connection • The thumbnail screen appears when connection to the FTP server is successful. • If the file format is set to [XAVC] in step 3, select the file to transfer using "Main" and "PROXY." 6 Select the thumbnail of the file you want to transfer, and select .
