Using NETWORK CLIENT MODE (Continued) 3 Wi-Fi or LAN Icon Meaning Before wireless LAN connection and after disconnection Wireless LAN connection or (icon varies depending on frequency band of access point) Wired LAN connection 4 CCM name (set on the CCM side) 5 SSID of access point (when wireless is selected) *4 and 5 are only displayed immediately after connecting to the CCM. b Notes • Network client mode is not available when using the camcorder in the following states. - When the file format is XAVC QFHD - In the following formats when the file format is AVCHD: 1080/60p, 1080/50p, 720/60p, 720/50p - During movie recording/playback - During thumbnail display - SLOW & QUICK (S&Q MOTION, SUPER SLOW MOTION) - When executing other network functions • The following functions cannot be used during network client mode operation. - Functions listed in "Unavailable functions during streaming" (p. 86) in "Using the streaming function (STREAMING)" • Only wired LAN connection is supported when [AIRPLANE MODE] is set to [ON]. • During network client mode streaming, the camcorder does not turn off even if the LCD screen is closed and the viewfinder is returned to its original position. • [LCD BRIGHT] is fixed to [NORMAL]. z Tip • The frame rate of the streaming data will vary depending on the recording settings for the original file. For details, see "Streaming, 94 RTMP/RTMPS, network client mode, and USTREAM supported formats" (p. 163). To record using the camera while streaming using network client mode Press the START/STOP button (handle record button) to start recording. To stop recording, press the START/STOP button (handle record button) again. The camcorder recording status is displayed using the following indicators. STBY: Standby mode REC: Recording b Note • During streaming, switching the current slot using the SLOT SELECT button or removing/ inserting media is not possible. Camcorder operation when using network client mode The following functions are enabled during network client mode operation. Use the hardware switches and buttons to control the camcorder. Operation from the menu is not supported. • Zoom • Focusing • Streaming volume adjustment (only the AUDIO LEVEL dial of the XLR handle unit is enabled) • Exposure adjustment (iris, ISO sensitivity/gain, and shutter speed) • White balance Network client mode operations Streaming on the CCM is started/stopped by CCM operation.
