Help Guide Search Top > Important information > Important information > Notes on splash-proof feature The system has a splash-proof feature equivalent to the IPX2 Standard. The system is protected against a certain amount of rain, snow, or splash, but is not completely water resistant. Submerging the system in water, or leaving the system in a humid bathroom, for example, may cause a malfunction of the system. Take the following precautions when you use the system: Do not splash a lot of water on it. Do not submerge it in water. If the system is exposed to a lot of water, pick it up at once and wipe the water off carefully with a soft dry cloth. The system drains water that seeps into gaps in the case. If water is splashed on the system, place it on a soft dry cloth for a while to help drain water. Do not leave the system covered or wet with salt water. Doing so will cause corrosion, discoloring, and deterioration of the splash-proof feature. If the system has been exposed to a strong mechanical shock, such as being dropped on the floor, the splash-proof feature is not guaranteed. Please note that malfunctions caused by misuse accompanied by water exposure are not covered under warranty. Copyright 2013 Sony Corporation 119
