Event: The screen is dark Comment: • Adjust the brightness of TV. Adjusting the brightness will vary depending on the type of TV. For details, please refer to the TV users manual. • Verify if other inputs on the TV are dark, if they are please refer to the TV user manual Event: When playing movies on the TV connected using a D video cable, the following symptoms can occur. • When playing video, the screen is switched to 525p (480p) • DVD/video is played as a black screen from the beginning or from a certain place (the audio is normal) • The DVD/video does not play. • No images are displayed while playing a movie. Comment: The above symptoms may occur when the output format is set to D3 or D4, because a DVD/video labeled "Copy Prohibited" or images which contain signals to protect the copyright cannot be displayed on a TV with the signal format of 1125i(1080i) or 750p(720p) to protect the copyright. In order to play the movie, quit the software and change the output signal format to 525i(480i) or 525p(480p). VGX-XL1 Digital Living System 153
