107 Utilities and Applications Chroma Tune for TOSHIBA Chroma Tune software allows you access to three Technicolor Color Certified settings: ❖ Technicolor-sRGB with tight tolerances for viewing sRGB-created content, such as consumer photography, gaming, and online shopping. ❖ Rec. 709-Similar to sRGB, but designed by Hollywood specifically for viewing films and videos. ❖ Adobe RGB-Used primarily by photographers and cinematographers, Adobe RGB has a larger color gamut (can show a wider range of colors), allowing content creators to work with colors that are closer to truly natural colors. You can utilize Adobe RGB to increase color saturation for a more vivid experience. Chroma Tune has two types of built-in color controls: Color Space Control and ICC Profile Management. Color Space Control Much of the content we view on computing devices today is created in the sRGB color space. Digital cameras save photos in sRGB and Web sites use sRGB images when showing content to the Internet. The Adobe RGB color space is used by color professionals for capturing or creating content, or both. Adobe RGB content is usually converted to sRGB for viewing by the public. ICC Profile Management Color managed applications need the correct ICC profile in order to show the correct color. Changing the ICC profile manually in the Windows Color Management control panel is cumbersome and confusing. Chroma Tune removes the guesswork and makes it easy for you to manage. Chroma Tune ships with a unique ICC profile for each of its six color spaces. As Chroma Tune changes the color spaces, the ICC profile is also changed, so the color space is always aligned with the proper ICC profile. Chroma Tune calls this Dynamic ICC Management. When enabled, the unique ICC profile associated with the color space is automatically selected. However, if you wish to keep one profile loaded while changing color spaces, Dynamic ICC Management should be disabled.
