Installation 4. Open the ADF cover and carefully remove any foam particles that may have gotten inside it. Close the scanner cover. 5. Swing the input tray up until it snaps into place. 6. Plug the ADF cable into the ADF port on the back of the scanner. Make sure the cable is plugged in securely. The ADF will not work if the cable is loose or not plugged in.
