Customizing this unit (MANUAL SETUP) ■ Memory guard C)MEMORY GUARD Use this feature to prevent accidental changes to sound field program parameter and other system settings. Protects: - sound field program parameters - "AUTO SETUP" items - all speaker levels - "MANUAL SETUP" items Notes • You can change the following parameters even if "MEMORY GUARD" is set to "ON": - "EXTD SUR." in "SOUND MENU" (see page 94) - "DECODER MODE" in "INPUT MENU" (see page 96) - "PARENTAL LOCK" in "INPUT MENU" (see page 96) - "MEMORY GUARD" • When "MEMORY GUARD" is set to "ON", " G " appears at the top right of the "SET MENU" screen. • You can change the settings of "SUR." in the sound field program parameter screen (see page 79) even if "MEMORY GUARD" is set to "ON". ■ Initial configuration D)INIT. CONFIG Use this feature to select the settings of the audio input jack select, active decoders and extended surround when you turn on this unit. Audio select AUDIO SELECT Use this feature to designate the default audio input jack select setting (see page 44) for the input sources connected to the DIGITAL INPUT jacks when you turn on the power of this unit. Choice Functions AUTO Automatically detects the type of input signals and selects the appropriate audio input jack select setting. LAST Automatically selects the last input jack select setting used for the connected input source. Decoder mode DECODER MODE Use this feature to designate the default decoder mode (see page 96) for the input sources connected to the DIGITAL INPUT jacks when you turn on the power of this unit. Choice Functions AUTO Automatically detects the type of input signals and select the appropriate decoder mode setting. LAST Automatically selects the last decoder mode setting used for the connected input source. Extended surround EXTD SUR. Use this feature to designate the extended decoder mode (see page 94) for the input sources connected to the DIGITAL INPUT jacks when you turn on the power of this unit. Memory guard
C)MEMORY GUARD
Use this feature to prevent accidental changes to sound
field program parameter and other system settings.
You can change the following parameters even if “MEMORY
GUARD” is set to “ON”:
– “EXTD SUR.” in “SOUND MENU” (see page 94)
– “DECODER MODE” in “INPUT MENU” (see page 96)
– “PARENTAL LOCK” in “INPUT MENU” (see page 96)
– “MEMORY GUARD”
When “MEMORY GUARD” is set to “ON”, “
” appears at the
top right of the “SET MENU” screen.
You can change the settings of “SUR.” in the sound field
program parameter screen (see page 79) even if “MEMORY
GUARD” is set to “ON”.
Initial configuration

Use this feature to select the settings of the audio input
jack select, active decoders and extended surround when
you turn on this unit.
Audio select
AUDIO SELECT
Use this feature to designate the default audio input jack
select setting (see page 44) for the input sources connected
to the DIGITAL INPUT jacks when you turn on the power
of this unit.
Decoder mode
DECODER MODE
Use this feature to designate the default decoder mode
(see page 96) for the input sources connected to the
DIGITAL INPUT jacks when you turn on the power of
this unit.
Extended surround
EXTD SUR.
Use this feature to designate the extended decoder mode
(see page 94) for the input sources connected to the
DIGITAL INPUT jacks when you turn on the power of
this unit.
