Chapter 13 Troubleshooting 2 Check that the: • Termination system and termination adapter have the same privacy key. Unmatched privacy keys make it impossible for termination adapters to send/receive data to/from the termination system. (The Web Configurator EP Management screen shows a red background for unmatched termination adapters.) • Host limit for each termination adapter is not zero. If the host limit of the termination adapter is 0 (zero) or the IN port is disabled, the termination adapter is not allowed to send/receive data. • IN port for each termination adapter is not disabled. 3 Check the physical connection quality between the termination system and each termination adapter by diagnosis tools. 4 If the connection quality is not good enough, please review the whole coax segment. • Check the wiring topology does not have amplifiers. • Check the total path attenuation, including mixers, combiners, splitters and taps. • Check for noise sources. 5 Check the firmware version of the termination system and termination adapters. I cannot transmit/receive data between termination adapters. For security, termination adapters can't communicate directly with each other. I cannot reach high speed communication. 1 Check the bandwidth control settings, or the maximal throughput of your WAN service. 2 Check your physical connection quality. 13.4 Resetting the EOC350-TS to Factory Defaults If you reset the EOC350-TS, you lose all of the changes you have made. The EOC350-TS re-loads its default settings, and the username/password resets to admin/1234. You have to make all of your changes again.
