Chapter 1 Introducing the ZyXEL Device 1.2.4.2 ZyXEL Device and FTU2000 Application The ZyXEL Device can work with the FTU2000 so that both devices can share one fiber outlet and one power source. Note: Refer to the Quick Start Guide of the FTU2000 for steps on how to connect the two devices. The figure below shows how the ZyXEL Device and the FTU2000 provide Internet services (including VoIP, IPTV and so on) as well as cable TV to the home. Figure 5 ZyXEL Device and FTU2000 Setup The ZyXEL Device and the FTU2000 have to be powered on for both devices to work due to the following: • the ZyXEL Device supplies power to the FTU2000 and has to be turned on for the FTU2000 to function. • the fiber optic cable of the ZyXEL Device passes through the FTU2000. 1.3 Ways to Manage the ZyXEL Device Use any of the following methods to manage the ZyXEL Device. • Web Configurator. This is recommended for everyday management of the ZyXEL Device using a (supported) web browser. • Command Line Interface. Line commands are mostly used for troubleshooting by service engineers. • FTP for firmware upgrades and configuration backup/restore. 24 FSG2200HNU User's Guide
