A triangle indicates ascending or descending sort order. , denotes that the wireless device is in infrastructure mode. or denotes that the wireless device is in Ad-Hoc mode. displays with the previous two icons if the wireless devices are using security. SSID This field displays the SSID (Service Set IDentifier) of each wireless network. The SSID is a unique name shared among all wireless devices in a wireless network. Wireless devices must have the same SSID to communicate with each other. Channel This field displays the channel number used by each wireless network. A radio frequency used by a wireless device is called a channel. Signal This field displays the signal strength of each wireless network. Scan Click Scan to search for available wireless networks within transmission range. Connect Click Connect to associate with the selected wireless network. Site Info Click an entry in the Available Network List table to display the information of the selected wireless network. Network Type This field displays the network type (Infrastructure or Ad Hoc) of the wireless network. Channel This field displays the channel number used by each wireless network. Encryption This field shows whether data encryption is activated (WEP, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, WPA-RADIUS, WPA2-RADIUS or RADIUS) or inactive (Disabled).
