Chapter 6 Easy Mode The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 18 Control Panel ITEM Game Engine DESCRIPTION Switch ON to maximize bandwidth for gaming traffic in your network. Otherwise, switch OFF. Power Saving Refer to Section 6.6.1 on page 49 to see this screen. Click this to schedule the wireless feature of the NBG4615 v2. Disabling the wireless function helps lower the energy consumption of the NBG4615 v2. Switch ON to apply wireless scheduling. Otherwise, switch OFF. Content Filter Refer to Section 6.6.2 on page 50 to see this screen. Click this to restrict access to certain websites, based on keywords contained in URLs, to which you do not want users in your network to open. Switch ON to apply website filtering. Otherwise, switch OFF. Bandwidth MGMT Refer to Section 6.6.3 on page 50 to see this screen. Click this to edit bandwidth management for predefined applications. Switch ON to have the NBG4615 v2 management bandwidth for uplink and downlink traffic according to an application or service. Otherwise, switch OFF. Firewall Refer to Section 6.6.4 on page 51 to see this screen. Switch ON to ensure that your network is protected from Denial of Service (DoS) attacks. Otherwise, switch OFF. Wireless Security Refer to Section 6.6.5 on page 52 to see this screen. Click this to configure the wireless security, such as SSID, security mode and WPS key on your NBG4615 v2. Refer to Section 6.6.6 on page 52 to see this screen. 6.6.1 Game Engine When this feature is enabled, the NBG4615 v2 maximizes the bandwidth for gaming traffic that it forwards out through an interface. Figure 27 Game Engine Note: When this is switched on, the Game Console tab in the Bandwidth Mgmt screen is automatically positioned on top. Turn this off if your network is not using gaming.
