Setup the P-660HN-T1A as a DHCP Relay What is DHCP Relay? DHCP stands for Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. In addition to the DHCP server feature, the P-660HN-T1A supports the DHCP relay function. When it is configured as DHCP server, it assigns the IP addresses to the LAN clients. When it is configured as DHCP relay, it is responsible for forwarding the requests and responses negotiating between the DHCP clients and the server. See figure 1.
