Chapter 8 LAN Figure 30 LAN and WAN IP Addresses The LAN parameters of the PLA are preset in the factory with the following values: • IP address of 192.168.1.2 with subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 (24 bits) 8.3.1 LAN TCP/IP The PLA has built-in DHCP server capability that assigns IP addresses and DNS servers to systems that support DHCP client capability. 8.3.2 IP Alias IP alias allows you to partition a physical network into different logical networks over the same Ethernet interface. The PLA supports three logical LAN interfaces via its single physical Ethernet interface with the PLA itself as the gateway for each LAN network. 8.4 LAN IP Screen Use this screen to change the IP address for your PLA.
