Tailor tacking Tailor tacking toot 419 Needle thread: according to material and colours Important preliminary 1. First set zigzag and put needle at highest position. Only then attach pres- 0! ser foot (to ensure needle is not da- maged). 2. Remove thread from the tension discs and thread round the selector lever 13 as in diagramm. When work Is finished replace thread between the tension discs. It is to be recommended when working by machine (saves time) to transfer the pattern onto the material with chalk and then remove the pattern. In is understood that the pieces of material should be pinned down first before basting to prevent slipping.
