7.7 Ringer Setup 7.7.1 Change Ringer Melody There are 10 base ringer melodies to choose from for external calls. 1. Press and to select SETTINGS. 2. Press and to select RING SETUP. 3. Press to select EXT. RING, then press to select MELODY, then press to select MELODY X (the current melody, where X = 1 to 10). 4. Press to scroll through the Melody list (from 1 to 10). 5. Press to confirm the setting. Note: The respective ringer melody will be played during your selection. 7.7.2 Change Ringer Volume You can adjust the volume level of the ringer for external calls with settings with settings from 1 (the quietest) to 5 (loudest), or turn it OFF. 1. Press and to select SETTINGS. 2. Press and to select RING SETUP. 3. Press to select EXT. RING, then press and to select VOLUME, then press and to step through the volume level list Off, 1 to 5. 4. Press to confirm the setting. Note: The respective ringer volume will be played during your selection. If VOLUME OFF is selected, the icon will display. 7.8 Set the Dial Mode You should normally leave the dialling mode at its default setting of TONE (also called DTMF) unless the phone is connected to an old exchange that only recognises PULSE dialling. In Idle: 1. Press and to select SETTINGS. 2. Press and to select DIAL MODE. 3. Press and to select TONE or PULSE. 4. Press to confirm. 44
