9.8 Switch Between OGMs By default, the answer machine is set in ANS & REC mode which allows callers to leave a message. This mode can be changed to ANSWER ONLY which does not allow callers to leave a message. In that case, your callers will be prompted to call back later. When the answering machine is switched ON, you can select ANS & REC or ANSWER ONLY. Using the Menu 1. Press and to select ANS. MACHINE. 2. Press and to select TAM SETTINGS. 3. Press and to select ANSWER MODE. 4. Press and to select ANS & REC or ANSWER ONLY. 5. Press to confirm. 9.9 TAM Messages 9.9.1 Play the TAM messages If you have new messages, the base display will show e.g. 01/02 MSGS, which means you have 1 new message out of a total of 2 messages. New messages are played first, and then are saved as old messages, until they are deleted. Old messages are played again after all new messages are played completely. In idle: 1. Press to listen to messages and memos. 2. Press if you want to stop the playback. 3. Press to skip back to the previous message during message playback. 4. Press if you want to skip forward to the next message during message playback. 5. Press if you want to delete the current message being played. 9.9.2 Delete a Message on the TAM 1. Press while a message is playing. 2. You will hear a tone and the current message or memo playing will be deleted. If there are more messages, the next message will start to play. 58
