9.12.6 Change the 4-Digit Remote Access PIN Your phone lets you check your messages, or otherwise operate your answering machine, by calling the answering machine when you are away from home and then dialling a 4-digit remote access PIN from a tone-dialling phone. The 4-digit remote access PIN code is used to prevent other people from unauthorised access of your answering machine. 1. Press and to select ANS. MACHINE. 2. Press and to select TAM SETTING. 3. Press and to select CHANGE PIN. 4. The current PIN is shown, with the first digit flashing. Enter your new 4-digit PIN, using the main digit keys (1-0), with the display changing as each digit is entered. 5. Press to confirm the change. 9.12.7 Reset TAM to Default Settings You can reset your answering machine to the default settings, without deleting any messages. 1. Press and to select ANS. MACHINE. 2. Press and to TAM SETTING. 3. Press and to TAM DEFAULT. 4. Press and the display will show "PIN ?", and then enter the system PIN code. (Default is 0000) 5.
