7-2 Compaq Parallel Database Cluster Model PDC/02000 for Oracle8i and Windows 2000 Administrator Guide Basic Troubleshooting Tips Power Verify that the following are all powered on: I Cluster nodes I StorageWorks RAID Array 4000s (RA4000 Arrays) or StorageWorks RAID Array 4100s (RA4100 Arrays) I Compaq StorageWorks Fibre Channel SAN Switches (Fibre Channel SAN Switches), Compaq StorageWorks Storage Hubs (Storage Hubs), or Compaq StorageWorks FC-AL Switches (FC-AL Switches) I Switches or hubs for the cluster interconnect The correct power-on sequence is: I RA4000 Arrays or RA4100 Arrays I Fibre Channel SAN Switches, FC-AL Switches, or Storage Hubs (Storage Hub power is applied when the AC cord is plugged in.) I Ethernet switches/hubs I ProLiant servers NOTE: The Storage Hub and some network hub or switch devices do not have on/off buttons; they receive power when the power cord is plugged in. Physical Connections Verify that all cable connections between the following components are properly made. Where redundant connections exist, be sure that the redundant paths are cabled correctly between: I Cluster nodes and the cluster interconnect switches or hubs I Cluster nodes and the client LAN switches or hubs I Fibre Host Adapters in the cluster nodes and the Storage Hubs, FC-AL Switches, or Fibre Channel SAN Switches I Storage Hubs, FC-AL Switches, or Fibre Channel SAN Switches and the Compaq StorageWorks RAID Array 4000 Controllers (RA4000 Array Controllers) installed in each RA4000/RA4100 Array
