Troubleshooting 7-11 Troubleshooting Shared Storage Problems This section addresses potential problems arising from the use of RA4000 Arrays or RA4100 Arrays as the shared storage devices for the PDC/O2000. This section does not address RA4000/RA4100 Array problems that are specific to the product itself or to the use of the RA4000/RA4100 Array in a stand-alone server configuration. For those issues, refer to the Compaq StorageWorks RAID Array 4000 User Guide or the Compaq StorageWorks RAID Array 4100 User Guide. Verifying Connectivity to a Redundant Fibre Channel Fabric To ensure that all I/O path connections in a redundant Fibre Channel Fabric are intact and functioning, verify the following: I For each redundant Fibre Channel Fabric, at least two Fibre Host Adapters have been installed in the same PCI slots across all servers in the cluster. I Verify that Fibre Channel cables are installed in the correct configuration between the Fibre Host Adapters installed in every server and their Fibre Channel SAN Switches. Refer to "Cabling the Fibre Host Adapters to the Storage Hubs or Switches" in Chapter 5, "Installation and Configuration," for cabling guidelines. I Verify that the two array controllers in each RA4000/RA4100 Array are connected by Fibre Channel cable to different Fibre Channel SAN Switches. Refer to "Cabling the Storage Hubs or Switches to the RA4000/RA4100 Arrays" in Chapter 5, "Installation and Configuration," for cabling guidelines.
