Option Advanced Boot Options UEFI Boot Path SecurityOptions Date/Time Description Allows you the legacy option ROMs to load. System Configuration screen options Option SATA Operation Description You can configure the internal SATA hard drive controller. The options are: • Disabled • AHCI • RAID On. This option is enabled by default. SMART Reporting You can control whether hard drive errors for integrated drives are reported during system startup. This technology is part of the SMART (Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology) specification. • Enable SMART Reporting USB Configuration You can configure the integrated USB controller. If Boot Support is enabled, the system is allowed to boot any type of USB Mass Storage Devices (hard drive or memory key). If the USB port is enabled, the device attached to this port is enabled and available for the OS. If the USB port is disabled, the OS cannot see any device attached to this port. The options are: • Enable USB Boot Support This option is enabled by default. • Enable External USB Ports This option is enabled by default. NOTE: The USB keyboard and mouse always work in the BIOS setup irrespective of these settings. USB PowerShare You can configure the USB PowerShare feature behavior. This option allows you to charge external devices using the stored system battery power through the USB PowerShare port. • Enable USB PowerShare This option is disabled by default.
