Printing on Special Paper In addition to printing on single sheets and continuous paper, your printer can also print on a wide variety of paper types, such as envelopes, labels, and multi-part forms. Before printing on special types of paper, you may need to change the paper-thickness setting. CAUTION: When printing on labels or multi-part forms, make sure that your printing stays within the printable area of the page to prevent damage to the print head. For more information on the printable area, see Chapter 7. Always return the paper-thickness lever to position 0 when you return to printing on ordinary paper. Setting the paper-thickness lever To accommodate various thicknesses of paper, the printer is equipped with a paper-thickness lever that can be set to six positions. envelopes, labels, and multi-part forms. Before printing on special
types of paper, you may need to change the paper-thickness
setting.
CAUTION: When printing on labels or multi-part forms,
make sure that your printing stays within the printable
area of the page to prevent damage to the print head. For
more information on the printable area, see Chapter 7.
Always return the paper-thickness lever to position
0
when you return to printing on ordinary paper.
