CHAPTER 3: Setting Up and Getting Started Disabling the wireless IEEE 802.11 radio You should disable the wireless IEEE 802.11 radio while traveling by airplane to prevent it from being accidently turned on while in flight. To disable the wireless IEEE 802.11 radio: • Slide the wireless network switch forward to the OFF position to disable both IEEE 802.11 and Bluetooth. For the location of the wireless network switch, see "Left" on page 7. Bluetooth radio Your notebook may have a Bluetooth radio for communicating with another Bluetooth device, such as a printer, scanner, camera, MP3 player, headphone, keyboard, or mouse. To turn the Bluetooth radio on: 1 Enable the Bluetooth radio by sliding the wireless network switch backward to the ON position. Disabling the wireless IEEE 802.11 radio
You should disable the wireless IEEE 802.11 radio while
traveling by airplane to prevent it from being accidently
