NOTE: Install the DCFM application on a dedicated machine that is not running any other server applications, such as another database server. Installation instructions are provided for the following operating systems: • Microsoft Windows • Sun Solaris • Linux The DCFM server runs as multiple services on Windows, and as multiple processes on Solaris and Linux; they start automatically after installation. Migrating from an earlier version You can migrate directly to DCFM 10.4.5 Enterprise from DCFM 10.1.x, 10.3.x, 10.4.1, or 10.4.2 Enterprise. EFCM 9.6.x/9.7.x, or Fabric Manager 5.4/5.5 users must upgrade to DCFM Enterprise 10.1.2 or later before upgrading to DCFM Enterprise 10.4.5.
