Glossary The glossary defines terms and acronyms used in MSA2000 Family storage system documentation. A pair of components, such as the controllers in a failure tolerant storage subsystem that share a task or class of tasks when both are functioning normally. When one of the components fails, the other takes on the entire task. Dual active controllers are connected to the same set of storage devices, improving both I/O performance and failure tolerance compared to a single controller. Synonym for
