Default CPGs The setup process automatically creates default CPGs on your HP 3PAR StoreServ 7000 Storage system. The CPGs that are created depend on your HP 3PAR storage system's drive types, number of drive cages, and RAID types, as described in the following table. Export virtual volumes. When you export (present) virtual volumes to a host, you make the volumes accessible to the host. The host system can then perform read/write operations on the exported virtual volumes on your HP 3PAR storage system. 4. Configure virtual volumes. In addition to creating storage, you must configure the exported virtual volumes on your Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows Server 2012 host system so the host system can use these volumes. The Add Virtual Volumes to Windows wizard, accessed from SmartStart wizard step 5, Configure storage, guides you through configuring virtual volumes on a Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows Server 2012 host system. For more information about creating storage or to set up advanced storage parameters, use the HP 3PAR Management Console. Using Default CPGs
To use SmartStart to create basic storage, assign the default CPG to the virtual volumes
