5 Copy, Scan, and Mobile Fax Learn how to use the copy, scan, and mobile fax features. Before you begin, see Tips for successful scanning and copying. If you encounter issues, see Copy and scan issues. Copy from the scanner glass or document feeder NOTE: The document feeder is available in some printer models. All documents are copied in normal quality print mode. You cannot change the print mode quality when copying. 1. Load paper in the input tray. 2. Place the original print-side down on the scanner glass or print-side up in the document feeder (some printer models). From the printer control panel, press the Black Copy button copying. or the Color Copy button To increase the number of copies, press the button multiple times quickly. Copying starts 2 seconds after the last button press. to start Copy or scan from a mobile device If your device has a camera, you can use the HP Smart app to scan a printed document or photo with the device camera. You can then use the software to edit, save, print or share the image. 1. Open the HP software on your mobile device. If prompted, create or sign in to an HP account. 2. Make sure your printer is selected. 3. Select one of the scan or copy options or tiles. 4. Change any settings. 5. Aim the camera at your subject, and then tap the round button at the bottom of the screen to take a picture. 6. Make other necessary changes, and then follow the onscreen instructions to complete the task. Scan using HP printer software (Windows) Make sure you have the software installed on your computer. 1. Copy from the scanner glass or document feeder
NOTE:
The document feeder is available in some printer models.
All documents are copied in normal quality print mode. You cannot change the print mode quality when copying.
1.
Load paper in the input tray.
2.
Place the original print-side down on the scanner glass or print-side up in the document feeder (some
printer models).

to start
copying.
