Use single-cartridge mode This mode is initiated when only one cartridge is installed in the printer, or when one of the cartridges is removed. To exit the mode, install both cartridges into the printer. NOTE: ● If the printer enters this mode when both cartridges are installed, remove the cartridges, make sure there is no plastic tape on them, and then reinsert the cartridges securely. ● If needed, try cleaning the cartridge contacts. See Clean cartridge contacts. Cartridge warranty information The HP cartridge warranty is applicable when the cartridge is used in its designated HP printing device. This warranty does not cover HP cartridges that have been refilled, remanufactured, refurbished, misused, or tampered with. During the warranty period, the cartridge is covered as long as the HP ink is not depleted and the end of warranty date has not been reached.
